"Fanm Saj" in the Haitian Creole Language means “Midwife” - in the literal term Fanm-means woman and Saj means gentleness. We know that Midwives catch babies and Fanm Saj, Inc as an organization exists to catch communities.
We envision a world where families of all ages and abilities have the power and support to live in safe and spiritually, mentally physically healthy communities.

Our mission is to provide families across the African Diaspora with cultural and wellness tools as well as social and political resources to nourish themselves, families and communities.

The mission of the organization is to provide families with wellness, cultural tools and resources to build and nurture themselves and their communities. We do this through Shifting narrative-Story telling and collecting, Restorative Justice Circle Keeping and Capacity Building.

The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.
